There was an increase in total units sold in April, with 230 sold this month in Roanoke County and Salem City Real Estate versus 184 last month, an increase of 25%. This month's total units sold was higher than at this time last year, an increase of 2% versus April 2024.

Versus last year, the total number of homes available this month is higher by 118 units or 38%. The total number of active inventory this April was 429 compared to 311 in April 2024. This month's total of 429 is higher than the previous month's total supply of available inventory of 405, an increase of 6%.

Last April, the median sale price for Roanoke County and Salem City Homes was $284,390. This April, the median sale price was $289,925, an increase of 2% or $5,535 compared to last year. The current median sold price is 3% higher than in March.
