There was a decrease in total units sold in September, with 459 sold this month in Chesterfield County and Colonial Heights City Real Estate versus 502 last month, a decrease of 9%. This month's total units sold was higher than at this time last year, an increase of 3% versus September 2024.

Versus last year, the total number of homes available this month is higher by 189 units or 21%. The total number of active inventory this September was 1,078 compared to 889 in September 2024. This month's total of 1,078 is lower than the previous month's total supply of available inventory of 1,098, a decrease of 2%.

Last September, the median sale price for Chesterfield County and Colonial Heights City Homes was $412,000. This September, the median sale price was $417,595, an increase of 1% or $5,595 compared to last year. The current median sold price is 1% higher than in August.

Median sale price is the middle sale price in a given month. The same number of properties are above & below the median.

In September, there was 2.3 months of supply available in Chesterfield County and Colonial Heights City, compared to 2.0 in September 2024. That is an increase of 18% versus a year ago.
